The last few miles are a thing. Views are on point though.
South of Sant Feliu there's a road through the hills with a sweet steep climb. The reward is a sweeping descent on the other side, headed back from the sea, with a view of the Pyrenees.
Hors délais, or so they say "Too much time, at Le Café" Y'all can keep that go go pace I've simply had a different race
Threatened by rain all morning, but I needed a day off the bike anyway. Let's see how tomorrow plays out.
I guess this counts as a rest day. No other riders, no cars, on the way up, no one at the top. A few riders headed up on the descent, otherwise silent. Met Jenn @ La Fabrica.
The plan was lunch in La Pera and take the easy way back. Just too nice out for the easy way. That tripe and chorizo stew was a bit much mid ride though.
I guess this is my "usual" ride around here now. Up over Els, get to Sant Sadurní de l'Heura whichever way for coffee with a cat. Then up and over the mountain again, past Santa Pellaia, back into Girona whichever way. Photo of "Señor Bucky", though all quiet on the kitty front this ride.
Breezy at the outset, but the climb is relatively sheltered by heavily wooded slopes, save for the last kilometer or so. Lunch in Banyoles with way too much wine. In other news, I guess Strava is my primary social media now
I lost.
Where do any of these roads even go? No where? The same place as all the others? Yes. Mostly.
