And it seems so nice out.
I built this frame several years ago in a class. I wasn’t happy with how it turned out, so in my garage it sat. I recently gathered the enthusiasm to fix what I didn’t like, spray it, give it a fitting name and build it up. It’s a bike now.
So we’re that sort of household now.
Rocky Mountain National Park. Closed to cars until the end of the season. Currently no snow!
RUSA Gravel Permanent scouting session #2. Went up Super James towards the Pleasant Valley campground, but the OHV road isn’t going to fly. Headed over to Beaver Reservoir, down to Gold Lake, through Ward, past the spring and up Sawmill. Then through Gold Hill and down Sunshine Canyon. Need to find a few more kms for this one.
Mmmm.
Misty mountain morning. I guess it’s fall.
Scouting 100k gravel permanent routes. 63mi, 7300ft. 505 and 68J are probably too chonky for reasonable people. This is doable in the RUSA permanent time limit, but you’d have to pack all of your food and hustle. It goes Boulder > Lefthand > Lickskillet > Gold Hill > Rainbow Lakes > 505 > Caribou Rd > Nederland > Magnolia > 68J > Flagstaff > Boulder
Weekend with the weirdos.
