"Maybe it's just some fog" It was not some fog. I guess I should've expected the snow at the end of November, at 9000ft. Though it only snowed heavily for a brief period, and fast descent off Pennock Pass meant I was down from the coldest altitude relatively quickly.
This is far from my favorite route. The western edge is standard northern Colorado rando fare: Relatively quiet rolling hills though Boulder and Larimer counties. All of the photos are from the western edge. The eastern edge is highway wasteland continuously from Loveland back to Longmont. A good day out with friends at a most civil pace, but with the rapid pace of development east of i25 it might be time to retire this one.
A quick jaunt out to Me Oh My Pie in La Porte for a cup of drip and a pecan bar. The wind is forecast to get real bad today: bye leaves.
Started out hard and fast, like these rides out east always do, but settled down appreciably after Sandy’s.
